It's quite interesting to observe how people push heaven and earth to get the best for their loved ones based on what is socially acceptable or recommended. The idea is that certain things or items are a symbol or love and undying affection. It's more about grand gestures and the grander the gesture, the more the love. Now the issue comes in when these 'symbols of love' don't exactly fit into your budget and sometimes not even in the category of things your beloved considers important or affectionate.
